Cyber Security: USPS Hit By Cyber Attack

The U.S. Postal Service said today it has been the victim of “a cyber-security intrusion” that exposed the personal information of some 800,000 employees. The FBI is investigating the source of the attack, but a source briefed on the incident told ABC News it appears to have originated in China and has been going on for the last two months. Cyber Security: Kmart becomes latest retailer hit by data theft

Sears Holdings Corp. announced late Friday that it detected a data breach at its Kmart stores that started last month and that certain customers' credit and debit card accounts may have been hacked. Cyber Security: US accuses China of hacking into defense contract firms

Chinese hackers believed to be linked to Beijing conducted dozens of cyber attacks on US defense contractors between 2012 and 2013, potentially compromising military operations, a congressional probe warned last Wednesday. A study by the Senate Armed Services Committee found that hackers gained access to systems run by companies doing contract work for the US Transportation Command at least 50 times in a one-year period ending May 30, 2013.
